Watch the ROAD!!!

We hit a dog today. Well not me, the driver of the van that takes a group of us to work everyday. Totally traumatized my sister (for about half an hour), which is understandable since she was sitting at the front and saw the whole thing.

I was laying down in the back seat, trying to catch some additional Z’s, when I suddenly heard the driver hit the horn and a second later how the van bumped over something, twice, both with the front wheels and the back wheels.

Thought for a split second it was a man before my sister said it was a pup. She also said it looked to have been barely a year old. Poor girl, this has totally ruined her day.

Got the replacement pen this Friday from Trust after, how many weeks? At least four. Sis has promised to reinstall the pen-tablet today, and hopefully the thing will work now. Finally, I can get back to my PS-WIP!

Clocking off!

Halleluiah! Praise whoever! The reason for my exuberance; I finally got off work! I’m 41 min overdue. And, o boy, did they feel long. I just want to blank out my brain and go home. Sleep perhaps.

Got to wait for the taxi though ::sigh::.

Home, sweet home.

Finally got home. I can’t believe it, Sis has made the tablet work! She promised she would but I had my doubts.

She was working on her banner for The Dark City – a Kindred; the Embraced archive, but I shooed her away. In the words of Eminen - I’m a meanie!

Nah, seriously, she offered to pass the tablet over as soon as she showed me what she’d done. She wanted to go and take her own siesta. 

Note: Hers generally last til the next day.

pen + tablet = ART!!!

So, I drew with the PEN! Right on! It’s going to take a while before I get the hang of it again, but I’ve started on a couple of mermaids, continued on DM as Archangel Michael, and the DMJD pic that was halfway done. There is still a long way to go on all of them. 

I’m thinking of putting up screenshots of the WIP as I do them, just to have something to post - otherwise it might be another year before I post anything. We’ll see.

A future to look foward too.

I’m a mean machine! Didn’t stop playing with PS until late, or what passes for late to me - which is some time after 7.30pm. Decided to watch Children of Men afterwards, ‘cuz sis rented the movie and it needs to be returned tomorrow.
 

CoM – what a weird movie. Totally cool, though. I can definitely see that senario happen; world descending into chaos because man can no longer have children. Man stripped of pretences when he no longer needs to live up to anything in the eyes of an innocent. ‘Cuz there are none, hehe.

Changed my mind – it was a good ending, life don’t give you resolution; there are no happy endings and quick fixes. Besides, the movie was from Owens point of view and he croaks before the boat appears. He doesn’t’ get to know the ending, so it’s fitting that we don’t as well. 

Going to bed far to late - 9.30pm. Gotta be up by 2.30pm.
